Adam McKay in negotiations to direct Three Mississippi

*Just yesterday we reported that Will Ferrell and Adam McKay were
reuniting for the seventh time as actor and director with _Swear To
God_.*

Their sixth outing comes in the form of football comedy _Three
Mississippi_, which McKay was originally signed on to produce.

Now, though, _The_ _Other Guys_ director is in negotiations to get
behind the camera – perhaps because his adap of comic _The Boys_
is taking its time coming together.

_Three Mississippi_ centres on two neighbouring families whose
Thanksgiving football match has turned into a competition of epic
proportions. A bit like that episode of _Friends_ with the Geller Cup.

If McKay's deal goes through, it'll be the fifth time he's directed a
Ferrell film - and based on the duo's track record (_Anchorman_, _Step
Brothers_), that can only mean good things.
